I received a note this week that gets to the heart of Extreme Community Makeover, beyond the tangible help volunteers provide on a project...

"Thank you for the work done on my house.....but this went much further than just a few hours spent helping me.  It motivated me not only to attack further projects around the house but other houses also on my street have vastly improved since then.  It also brought our neighbors together and I got to meet several people that I never had a chance to meet before this project."

To all of you who have given your time to volunteer, your money to donate, and your enthusiasm to share with others - THANK YOU!  Thank you for making these types of experiences possible for our Denver neighbors as together we impact our communities "one block at a time"!

Our annual "Art is in the Air" fundraiser is coming up soon!  It will be held on Friday, November 14 at the Artwork Network gallery.  The evening will include appetizers, drinks, and desserts, with opportunities to win raffle items and bid on silent auction items from some of your favorite places around Denver.  ECM would like to thank Nate Postlethwait, Associate Broker at Fuller Sotheby's International Realty, for being the event sponsor of "Art is in the Air"!

Art is in the Air
Tickets are available for $25 per person with advance purchase or $30 per person at the door.  The first ten people to purchase tickets will be entered in the raffle drawing once per ticket purchased.

Church Partner: Hillside Church
Hillside Church Hillside Church started meeting in the summer of 2005 with about 15 families, but now about 90 families consider Hillside their church community.  They are an independent church plant from Grace Chapel in Englewood.   Their vision is to be people passionately living life with God.  Their mission as a church is to encourage Christ-centered transformation by the Spirit.  Hillside Church has been involved with ECM since 2009 and always brings out a great group of volunteers, including many families who serve together to make an impact here in Denver!
